Where We Came From
A young punky kid still in high school in the early 90's, got a job as an assistant to a Wedding Videographer. It was there that he learned the fundamentals of camera operation, composition, and lighting.
In 2013, Carlos and his girlfriend Dawn were driving through Connecticut when they started discussing the idea of starting a media venture together. Carlos had been frustrated in his role as a web developer and was looking for something more. They decided to build a business together right then and there.
"Mar & cott, from Marques & Scott!" and just like that, the name was born. They launched with proper planning and smart equipment investments. Initially targeting wedding videography and nonprofit support, they grew without an advertising budget by networking directly with interested clients, all while maintaining full-time employment and during Dawn's pregnancy.
Carlos transitioned to full-time leadership in June 2014 after purchasing their first company vehicle, which unexpectedly opened entirely new market opportunities.

Marcott Studios has evolved into a full-service real estate marketing company offering professional photography, cinematic video tours, 3D virtual reality experiences, aerial services, floor plans, virtual staging, and property showcase platforms.

Marcott Studios was among the first companies in Connecticut to acquire FAA Section 333 exemptions for commercial aerial work, enabling us to offer competitive advantages through emerging technology long before it became mainstream.
